Suzuki remote key re-teaching

Afternoon all,
Does anyone have any experience with re-teaching the central locking to a Suzuki key, specifics of the scenario are:
2017 S-cross. Oval type key with push button start and no physical IGN barrel
Car has two keys, one works perfect, the second has no remote locking function but will start the car if pressed against the start/stop button
Clearly the key with the issue is for car as it starts the car and emergency key matches the lock set. I have replaced the key battery and the LED in the key flashes when pressing lock/unlock but just no response from the car.
It feels like the key needs to be re synchronised to the car, does anyone know if there is a button press process to do this on this specific spec of car, or is this going to require a diag tool?
There are lots of videos and guides that I can find for cars with IGN barrel but nothing about push button start so I guess this might be leading us into a diag process is required but would be good to confirm if there are any Suzuki knowledgeable's on here?
