Just browsing the classifieds and saw another advert mentioning ‘flappy paddles’ as if it was a positive selling point. Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Clarkson coin that phrase as a very definite criticism in the early days of DCTs / padle shifts before they were the slick / snappy jobs they are these days?? Why folk still calling them flappy - just doesn’t sound right when talking about a proper sports car/ super car

I think it’s just a name that has stuck. No criticism meant by it.

I thought it was a description of them being 'flaps' (snigger) more than they are 'flappy' in nature or action.
