The Cost of Things - Discs and Pads...
Discussion
We blow me out the park with a stick of dynamite up my ............
2014 AWD Kia Sorento
It's our 7 seater family car, tow car etc.
Nothing fancy, but a great car none the less.
Needs new discs and pads front and rear, a job i usually do myself.
Quotes range from £560 to best price £203 for front and rear discs and pads.
When did all these things become so expensive!!

Is that parts only, or labour included? If labour is included in that. It doesn’t surprise me.
That's got to be parts-only.I just looked up what I'd do (pagid pads on pagid discs front and rear).
Not the cheapest place going, but for general info, ECP would have £475 off me just for those parts.
It's the prices of the discs that are pretty wild. £91.79 for a single front disc, £79.29 for a single rear one. Of course, double that for a pair.
Amusingly this little lot was actually cheaper at Halfords!

(@op - do you need to do brake sensors too?)

£203 is fine - im happy with this.
I guess i was put out by the original quotes of £560 which seemed crazy high to me.
Agree - it's a big old car and tows a 2.5T with horses etc, so needs to be good brakes.
Best offer for me from MTEC brakes. Never heard of them, but they seem fine to me.

Any advance on this for a good price / supplier?
Thanks.
