Six kids - not working
Discussion
In my daughters class there is a lad from a family with 5 kids
Neither of the parents work, registered disabled
The dad does gardening / cash in hand jobs and similar buying selling on Facebook
They have a decent sized housing association house and a new car
They are having another baby imminently - Caesarian
What realistically do they get per kid - is it not capped at 2?
Yes I could ask him but I am much braver on the internet

The answer is probably an amount that will annoy you, so just move on.
It's frustrating, but that's the system-- I say this as someone that knows very little about the benefits system. It seems to me that focusing on what folk can do rather than what they can't might be a more efficient use of resources and lead to better outcomes-- perhaps that's what's happening, I've no idea.

Have a play, I got £26,500 a year in total if both disabled and registered carer for each other.Upping the disability benefits to the max for the two adults kept the total at £26,500. Same if one of the kids was disabled, I assume more would still max out at £26,500.

Op, you basically have three choices:
A) Accept high level of immigration - the system on who gets in can be improved undoubtedly to work better for us.
B) Some people need to have high numbers of kids and be supported to do so to balance those who don’t.
C) Continue to see increased tax level per person and reduced services.
Or likely a blend.
What you can’t have is nobody coming in to the country to work, nobody having lots of kids and lower tax/good services.

Arguably not good for the planet, but good for having a future working population to fund things. In the immediate context of this thread, if you can afford them and care for them without outside intervention, it's not really anyone else's business.
Sounds like a huge amount of work though.

Oh yes, I see now they are disabled.
Who’s next?
You are obviously a perfect specimen.
Unbelievable!
The allegation seems to be that the father at least is not so disabled that he can't work, and that he is working off grid defrauding hmrc.Who’s next?
You are obviously a perfect specimen.
Unbelievable!
Who knows whether that is true though.
