Luxury GT convertible car for around £50k

Budget of £50k looking for a super comfy GT convertible for some long distance trips in the UK and Europe. So far am looking at Bentley GT S convertertible., Merc S Class S500 convertible and possibly an Aston Martin?

Interested to hear from anyone who has owned any of the above or whether anyone has any other ideas. Needs to be v comfortable.

How about a Maserati Grancabrio?

I used to have an early Granturismo, I drove it to Spa and back and it was very comfy! And they sound sublime.

I can personally recommend the S Class both my dad & uncle have them (63/500) but coupes, now I'd suggest considering the coupe because once you open the roof & drop away the windows it's like having a convertible:

I've had a few convertibles all of which could be had for your budget:

GTC - a last model W12 and beautiful to drive... a serious continental cruiser. Crewe's missile and very well made.
XKR - a great allrounder and lovely to look at too (unlike the GTC). I had many continental trips in mine.
911 - C4S the perfect smaller GT car. Very comfortable.

The Bentley was the only one you could realistically squeeze rear passengers into.

You can get an Aston Martin Vantage Roadster or DB9 Volante at that budget.
The Vantage is sportier, the DB9 more of a GT. The DB9 will have a similar boot but has vestigial rear seats that can be used for luggage (not really for humans).
Push the budget and you can probably squeeze into a DBS Volante - which is a bit Jekyll and Hyde (relaxed GT when you want it to be but a proper sports car when you push on).

Thanks for the replies guys, a bit scared of reliability of the Maserati and the AM seem to me to be more of a sports car than GT but never driven one, like the Bentley GT S but think the service and maintenance costs might be a bit eye watering. I drove an S63 Coupe at an AMG day at MB World and that was amazing but when you look at them in silver they look quite ordinary and understated which is ok if you want that. Will drive a few and let you know my thoughts and the outcome.

I used to have a 997 C2S so still think of the 911 as a sportscar even if the 991 and 992 have got so big they are not far off being GT cars.
