Le shuttle when bike carrier not pre-booked

I've got a Shuttle booking for later in the year. I booked it a month ago, and as my daughter seemed a way off from even being able to use her balance bike I gave no thought to taking bikes. But in just a month she's taken to pedal cycles and we've got her one. So, bicycles might be a good idea, but I won't now until close to departure date.

Has anyone arrived at Le Shuttle with a carrier that isn't on the booking? Can you just pay a supplement or do they send you away? It's a three-bike towbar mounted Thule so not the smallest rack.

What's the option on your booking for changes?
I suspect it's a supplement payable... I googled.

Why not just amend the booking once you’re certain. I changed the car I was using a couple of days before a trip a few years ago, it’s quite a simple process online?

Fair point, I've never had to amend a Eurotunnel booking before so hadn't actually considered that.
