Internet connection i-pad and i-phone
Discussion
BB speed check we have around 66mb/s, Windows on lap top, android on phone all work fine.
Wife's i-pad and i-phone keeps dropping out sometimes as often as every 20 or 30 seconds!
We've deleted "History", deleted all her tabs (about the limit of my Apple knowledge) but still the problem exists.
Any suggestions please?

Disable the 5ghz channel.
have you a link to how to please? It's strange how it's only my wife's ipad and iphone, nothing else although son's PC sometimes drops apparently.
Checked again and 68mb/s down, 19mb/s up and Ping of 32.
How techy are you?
And what’s the router you are using?

Spanners, screwdrivers and hammers. 30 years of CAD & design progs and a bit of Excel but delving into the innards, limited.

BT router plus a couple of discs but she's sitting within 3m of the router and all I hear is "it's gone again".Spanners, screwdrivers and hammers. 30 years of CAD & design progs and a bit of Excel but delving into the innards, limited.

Son thought he'd got the iphone connecting OK after a network rest but doing the same to the ipad hasn't improved things much.
I’ve had my iPad develop very slow network speed twice over the last few months, when my iPhone and other devices were unaffected.
Going into the wifi settings and choosing ‘Forget this network’ and re-connecting fixed it. No idea why, and it shouldn’t make a difference, but it did work. Might be worth a try.
Assume you’ve also tried a cold boot of the iPad as well? Depends on the model, but vol up, vol down and then holding the power button until the Apple logo appears (takes several seconds) performs this task.

Hi 119,
Somewhere down the line your link has vanished however I got into the router, disabled the 5gh/s side and so far her ipad is working again. Strange it's all been fine for 7 years or whatever and suddenly everything goes t1tz up.
I’ve just realised I deleted the wrong post from the wrong thread.Somewhere down the line your link has vanished however I got into the router, disabled the 5gh/s side and so far her ipad is working again. Strange it's all been fine for 7 years or whatever and suddenly everything goes t1tz up.

It’s a fairly common problem with ithings and generally just BT routers but tbh I would have thought they had sorted it by now!
Glad it seems to be sorted.
