A good day together,

has anyone a solution for a optimized targa roof fastening?
My targa roofs make loud noises at speeds above 75 miles.
The targa roofs are no longer in contact with the roof on the left and right sides.
Therefore, an optimized fastening on the left and right front sides would certainly be helpful.
Any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any hint.

Best regards
Thorsten

what year is ? , which type of clips does it have ? I'm not sure if there's a search facility on this forum anymore, but there was a post some years ago IIRC

Model year 2003, approval 2004. I think the fasteners are from MK1 version, right?
Attached some photos.

I was going to suggest some extra retro fitted clips, but you already have them fitted, other than new seals I don't know what to suggest on the earlier type roof as mine has the later style clips.

I wonder if a bit of insulation lining from a DIY shop could be used to create a sufficient seal to stop the clattering noise e.g. the spongy or rubber lining you get for home windows and doors.

I have tested different solutions without any success.
I think it's partly due to the pressure of the screws in the front area of the roofs.
Can someone please send me photos of other fasteners?
Different fasteners should have been installed from 2004 onwards.
Thanks and best regards
Thorsten
