Hi all,

Managed to pick up a couple of scuffs at the weekend. It's the original glass, which as I understand, as a 2001 model means Plexiglass & not Crystal?

Is there a way to tell which material & can you recommend a DIY scratch remover/polisher?

(I'm guessing my Halfords headlight cleaner kit would be a really bad idea.....)

(I have a really good watch repairer locally, who I can go to if it needs replacement. He's serviced it since 2006).

Thanks in advance.

Yes it is plexi.
Get yourself a tube of polywatch, use a cotton pad to apply it and rub off with some firm pressure, and it'll bring it up wonderfully in a couple of minutes (unless it's scratched really deep).

Make sure you mask off any parts you don't want polished first. There are replacement aftermarket crystals on ebay for about £25 though I have no experience of them.
