Auto tilt wing mirror

I'm sure my left side wing mirror used to tip down in reverse by quite a big amount so you could see the road. Now it just kind of pathetically twitches by a few mm when selecting R (and returns when going into D). The mirror itself moves just fine under manual control and the option is still ticked in the settings menu (have also tried setting it off and on again). Am I remembering wrong? Did the mirror insert really move right down at an angle?

Why are door mirrors increasingly referred to as wing mirrors? Wing mirrors were outlawed on safety grounds decades ago.

Have you tried adjusting the tilt position? Although not a Porsche my VW sometimes loses the tilt position and you need to re-adjust occasionally.

Interesting! So you go to R, set the desired tilt and it will remember that?

My thoughts exactly, imagine if we corrected all words and sayings to their original meaning. I expect half of the parts on cars have changed meaning over the years.

It does on a VW and I can't imagine the Porsche is different.
