Hi,

I have a 2018 991.2 Carrera T, which comes with PCM 4. I'd love to get Android Auto running on it, preferably without Porsche extracting vast sums of money in the process. I've looked through the various threads on RennSport, which suggest a software upgrade via something called MIB, but none of the website links work and at this point the site appears to be down.

I'm pretty sure my car doesn't have Android Auto enabled - nothing interesting happens when I plug my phone in. Has anyone got this working? Quite happy for it to be wired, rather than wireless, but it would just be nice to have google maps rather than the OEM nav software....

Many thanks
ph

Hi

all the answers in this thread would apply to the .2 as well and those solutions support both carplay and android auto https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

my 997.2 has the NM Automotive solution fitted and I'm an android user, wife uses carplay via it too

For a quick solution to this I use a Carlinkit 4.0 module plugged into the USB port in the arm rest on my 991.2 GTS.

It identifies to the PCM as an iphone yet runs Android auto.
