Looking for some suggestions. Just 6 months into my 4th (not consecutive) Megane 3RS, I am growing tired of getting my 2 young kids in and out the back. Great cars but using a hot Megane for school run and motorway commute is kind of missing the point I feel.

Requirements;

- Fast(ish)
- Modern (preferably post 2010 at least)
- 4 or 5 doors
- Decent boot (preferably a hatch for small dog crate)
- Not ruinous to own/run
- Reliable
- £20k max

I have been thinking about Cupra Formentor/Ateca 310's, F31 340i, or even halving my budget and getting an F11 535d which I am sure would do everything I need it to....

Had this exact situation so got an Audi S5 sportback. Fantastic.

Will do c. 40 mpg on a long run and is very refined on the motorway. Sounds the bks too in dynamic mode.

Boot is a good size too.

I very much enjoyed owning a Ghibli V6S as an alternative to the usual German suspects.
