Lovely wheels-Does anyone know what they are?

Hi all, there is crimson red griff (Worcester) on page 1 of the PH tvr Griff classified section.I absolutely love the wheels on it, does anyone know what they are and where to get them from?

I know what they are, mainly because I used to own that car.
The wheels are Rondell Type 70 17" x 7.5" ET 35 supplied by Autobhan.
Nice to see she's been looked after.

Thanks Russ, yeah I liked them but nervous as hell until I saw them in the flesh and not a bad price either. I found them to be a very good quality wheel (bit heavy)drive over 6,000 miles with no issues with bucking, cracks or to finish in fact they looked just like new.
Tyres were Toyo T1S 215/40/17 fronts and 245/40/17 rear.

I agree they look great. Are there any problems with clearance on the wheel arches? Are they still available and will they bolt on to standard hubsstuds with standard brakes and calipers etc

No probelms with clearance and will bolt straight on to the standard hub without requiring spacers. I fitted the 293mm upgrade to the front with standard rears again no clearance problems.
Although the original Offset is ET27.5 front and ET37.5 rear the SE Griffiths (last 100) used the larger 16" wheels on the front so the offset is as near as dammit with these at ET35. look up a thread by RichB also in the Bible about his upgraded wheels, lots of useful info from him and helped me alot.

Thanks David. I am planning a re-bush and a change of springs and shocks on my 96 Griff 500 this winter. If I have the funds a change of wheels and tyres will complete the job. Info on this forum on suspension setting etc has been very interesting. I hoping to make my car a bit more forgiving because I am loosing my fillings!! and the wife refers to my toy as an 'old bone shaker'

FWIW the original is inch front inch and a quarter rear or 25mmf and 32mmr.

Just put bk racing 7 spokes on mine 7.5 18" look great with 215x35x18 front toyo t1s fronts and 235x40x18 rears no prob with clearance.

Yes a pic would be good.I was looking at going 17's on the front and 18's on the rear.Bit worried about the tramlining/general handling though.How does it feel on the 18's?Anyone else done17's front/18's rear?

Ive Got Them!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been really imaginitive and copied David N`s wheels. Used 215*40*17 up front and 235*45*17 on rear, early and wet but grip seems so much better and turn in has improved. Getting a bit more tramlining but not too extreme. Car used to run on Chim 5 spokes but I can get rid of them now.

you need to right click ythe picture you want and get the pictures url/addresss the put that inside [pic]address here [/pic], with no gaps anywhere in that or it wont work.

Did you look at the Techno Detroits before going with the Rondells?.I've got Toyo 215/40/17 on these on the front but 255/40/17 on the back.I'm planning to switch to Toyo R888 next time round( see separate thread on General TVR )
