Hi,

Just trying to get hold of a set of tyres. Costco seems to be the cheapest place for Michelin sport Mp4s but the ones they have all seem to be tailored to a specific manufacturer e.g. ferrari, porsche etc.

Would it be an issue just getting these?

Best wishes.
Rob.

Costco can be very pendantic when it comes to tyres and whilst it might be fine to fit a Ferrari OEM tyre, come your fitting appointment they might refuse.

I'd go along to their tyre desk and get them to check if they can get you either a AM fit or a generic. I was getting tyres for a BMW from them recently and the tyre desk had access to far more tyres than was listed on the website.

You can also confirm if they'll fit a Ferrari/Porsche tyre to your car.

Thanks will do that.

Also, agree that they can be very pedantic about things...

It may be worth checking Camskill.co.uk for your tyres.
I've found they have a very good range including non-oem PS4S and are normally well priced. There is a £60/80 rebate on 4 Michelin tyres at the moment (or £100 if you're a member of AMOC I think)
The only downside is, they're supply only and you'll need to fit them yourself or get a local trusted fitter to mount them for you.

Beware the lure of that offer though - I have just been bitten because my local indy tyre shop is not on the list of approved providers so I cannot claim my £100 back.
Nor, it seems, are Camskill listed either...

Got the Michelins ordered from Black Circles and arranged to be fitted at their outlet locally to me.

Turned up and they can't jack the car... At least they didn't try and then damage it.

I've searched on the forums and online but struggling to find where I can get a set of jacking mounts (pucks?) for the rapide s.

Appreciate any help on this as need to get them fitted soon before daughters prom event shortly!

I know this will sound silly. But have you tried looking in the manual? Because I was stunned at how in depth it is on the regular Rapide. It even includes the jacking points.

For jackpads, worth trying the following:
https://www.astonmartinjackpads.co.uk/

The guy there is called Steve Cavanagh, I can recommend having bought a set for my V8Vantage N400 roadster in the last year.
I was unsure of the exact pads I needed due to sports kit sills of the N400 and after sending photo of the jacking points from underneath the car, he was able to confirm the correct ones for me.
Communication was great throughout, after payment was made, I shortly received tracking information and they were delivered within 3 days.

For Rapide looks like Type AM5, but as said best to check if unsure, especially in case it’s different for Rapide versus Rapide S.
Here’s the pic of Type AM5.

Thanks all, that's perfect. I've enquired about the AM5 pads.
