675LT 10 year anniversary

Had an amazing weekend celebrating 10 years of the McLaren LT brand. The morning started at Caffeine and Machine the hill for breakfast, then onto Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre for pics with the Lancaster Bomber before an evening meal at West Retford hotel with great 675LT stories from Jamie Corstorphine. All arranged by Alastair Bols and the 675LT owners group.

At one point of the day there were 50 of the 170 UK registered 675LT's, but the best part was meeting 675LT friends who have mostly known another for over 10 years. Many owners progressing from 12C / 650s to 675LT and even newer McLaren's and back again. 10 years of laughter, good times, driving, and friendship. That's what it's all about. The entire weekend was much like a family reunion.

50 cars, 600 miles each, 30,000 combined miles and no issues. V engineering were on hand to assist if anyone had an issue, but there were none, my screen wash did need emptying and I embarrassed myself with my MPG again!

Mega weekend as you say and superbly organised. Looking forward to the 675LT Grantour to Spain and revisting some of the roads and the circuit where the 675LT underwent its final development.

I'm old enough to remember when a 10 year old car looked ancient. These have aged so well and still look fantastic. Glad you enjoyed it, OP. It's what this is all about.

Thanks. I really think this age of car, 2015 (ish), is probably 'peak' as its when you got the last of the analogue feeling cars with no aids / screens / PPF etc. But got all the modern performance. The appearance also unhindered by safety & other factors. So pretty sure many cars from around 2005-2015 will forever be best :-)

As of this week, i am no longer the custodian of my napier 675 spider after 4 fantastic years.

Great, great car, and I'm sure there new owner shall absolutely love it.

Not entirely sure....it will be another Mac.

Lack of spare time at the moment to indulge in the 675 was a reason, so that's the priority at the moment.

It was such a very special car, and selling it for pretty much what I paid 4 years ago is also hard to beat.

I do think the 675LT is the best car McLaren has produced. It is ageing extremely well.
