I’ve just been to look at a very nice 2002 Impreza WRX bugeye wagon and wondering what sort of price these go for, the chap selling is older and has had the car for 21 years.

It’s done 110k, has full Subaru service history, the maintenance is quite incredible, it’s had anything needed doing done. The body is incredibly straight and looks good rust wise being garaged, with only a 10p size rust scab on the lower front wing and usual stone chips on the front. The car is totally stock, even has its original exhaust.

Yeah looks clean apart usual surface corrosion on suspension components. No rust on the arches or suspension struts on the outside, can’t really go ripping the carpet and insulation from the inside to properly check.

Just curious if you bought it in the end?

Wagons tend to be less money than the saloon cars, but they vary significantly in value. A one owner well maintained car, even with 110k on it, is probably at the top end of the value range, maybe 5-6k at a guess? How much is/was he asking?

I didn’t, I chickened out but it sold to someone else straight away for £4750. I think the price was strong, it needed a fair few grand spending on it after looking at it properly

Ah yeah the Impreza can build up some big bills if not all taken care of as and when needed, surprising how the bills can stack up on little bits for these if left to accumulate. It is not a cheap car to run/maintain compared with something more main stream.
