Le Mans Friday Service at Classic British Welcome

Heading to the 24 Hours of Le Mans? Join us on June 13 to kick the weekend off in the best way possible

The Le Mans Friday Service returns to the Classic British Welcome in Saint-Saturnin on Friday 13 June 2025. Running from 09:00 to 17:00, this free-to-attend event brings together over 1,000 classic and performance cars, live music, great food, trade stalls, and even an on-site cinema, all in the warm and welcoming setting of a local French village.

This year’s theme celebrates Matra, the iconic French marque that won Le Mans three times in the '70s. New for 2025 is a series of live classic car workshops, featuring demonstrations from specialists in bespoke exhaust systems, parts blasting and stripping, classic glazing, and a live art-car vinyl wrap installation.

For PistonHeads members, a dedicated display area is available with space for just 50 cars and we’ll be there from 09:00 - 13:00. There are strict entry criteria for display cars, so if you have a classic or two-seat sports car, add your name to the list here to join us for free. If you don’t, then no need to worry, as you can still use the free park and ride service (just don’t sign up on the list above). If you’re in doubt, feel free to ask in the comments below.

At 16:00, the traditional St Saturnin Cavalcade will depart for a scenic tour through nearby villages, with Matras especially encouraged to join in and represent the event’s theme on the road. Full details and route info can be found here. Whether you’re in it for the cars, the community, or just a great start to your Le Mans weekend, the Friday Service at Classic British Welcome remains an unmissable stop. Remember to sign up here, and get the latest updates here

Have they sorted out the traffic for this year?

Gave up last year, carnage.

I expect it largely depends what time you arrive and leave - if you're early enough you should sail in. We normally leave around lunchtime and it's busy, but nothing unbearable.

I'd recommend arriving by 10:00 as it gets really busy after that. You can leave at any time without issue though thumbup
