Afternoon all,

As above really, I need a wooden window frame for the rock house in our garden

To go where the plywood is currently.

Dimensions are around 95cm wide x 87cm high. Six pane preferred and I can get the glass separately and glaze it with putty.

Am trying to find a cost reasonable solution, and being quoted 4-600 for a bespoke frame and glass, which seems high, although maybe it isn’t?!?

Anyone got any ideas/know of an online company who they have used and could supply a kit etc?

Cheers all thumbup

Online suppliers seem to hit around the price you were quoted.

Or you could look for 'timber window sections' to buy the frame profiles + other bits from a timber supplier & knock your own up.

Some of the timber suppliers also offer kits eg. https://iitimber.co.uk/timber-products/bespoke-win... (just a random one, not a recommendation)

Does it need to open?
You could do a fixed window quite simply with strip wood and mouldings.

You may be able to buy proper mouldings to make your own frame?

Nope, no opening required.
