The text message “thumbs up” is probably my most used communication. It’s a sort of “heard Chef” response.

I am Caucasian, so I am sort of a pinky colour. My thumb emoji is obviously therefore…yellow.
It’s my phone default.

But I’ve several Caucasian people in my life who regularly respond with a black thumb. I assume that they have deliberately selected it.

Anyone else deliberately use a thumb colour other than their own, or “Simpsons yellow”?
What’s the thinking?

My thumb is currently Forget-me-not blue, coz I have been painting a garden trellis.

Blue thumbs should be mandatory, see the "Photoshop Bobbers" thread on here. biggrin

I select a colour that actually resemble sit in reality, the but the more I think about it the more I despair at the reliance on this kind of comms. The amount of misunderstanding, stress and anxiety caused by an ill thought out text is ridiculous....and then there's all the "hidden meanings"..... christ, just talk to my face, or at the very least call me thumbuphehe
