Ok so, I'm 6'6 and about 20 stone, so a big old human, but I've always had a soft spot for Lotus's.

Tried to buy a VX220 before, but the only way in and out for me was roof coming off biglaugh

Up till now I've always assumed there was no chance of fitting in one, but, bar going around the UK sitting in every model to confirm this is the case, thought id ask you sensible lot.

Any models which are more giant friendly?

A VX220 is effectively the same in the parts that matter as any Series 2 or Series 3 Elise, Series 2 or V6 Exige, which all have basically the same door/sill/seat arrangement and thus there is minimal difference between them.

An Evora or Emira is the only Lotus that is going to be sufficiently different enough.

I was being flippant, obviously. But I doubt you’ll be comfortable in any Elise derived car.
I know the Evora was ok for drivers over 6ft, but it probably depends on the ratio of leg to torso.
Not sure Lotus have ever built their cars for the tallest and widest of gentlemen.

Try an Emira or Evora

I recognise your username are you an old Renaultsport guy? If you could get in an R26 you should be ok in an Evora/Emira

I'm 6ft 5 and about 15 stone. I just about fit fine in an Elise - though I think it must depend a lot on your torso/leg ratio - I am roughly normal proportions, but I reckon if you're very leggy it would be a problem. Being wide is going to be an issue. As others have said, Elise, Exige, VX220 etc are all basically the same, ergonomically speaking.

Emira and Evora are substantially more commodious for the larger gentleman.
