Annual Diesel Gala is approaching fast ;

June 12th to 15th inclusive.

Visiting locos for the above are Deltic Alycidon, Class 50 Rodney, Class 33 Dennis G Robinson and Class 37 Great Rocks so far according to website.

Been wanting to do a diesel gala for ages (geeky but been watching some videos of what looked like an amazing weekend at the SVR a couple of weeks back). Might pop over for it, park myself somewhere nice with a picnic and watch some trains.

Will be going to Grosmont station probably - usually plenty of parking ( have to pay though ) . You get good view of the trains/engines in the station and approx 150 metres away are the engine sheds . The engines are usually swapped at Grosmont also.
