We were visiting a castle in the Czech Republic and saw this monstrosity parked next to the entrance of the hotel adjacent.

No idea what it is, seems to be based on something large. Looks too good for a kit car so I’m thinking it is something that has been especially made, probably not many of them.

Badge says, Excelsior.

Whilst I'd never want one and can only imagine who would, I am still kind of happy that this sort of madness exists.

Looks very nice, but probably the least efficient use of space possible

If a Morgan driver imagines himself as a mid 20th century gentleman, then an Excalibur driver no doubt wishes he’d been the dictator of a small banana republic.

Saw one outside a hotel in North Norfolk a few years back (pre-Covid), utterly massive and bonkers thing:

If it's a bit blurry it say 'Excalibur Phantom' on the front number plate.

Mark Grayson, he of the 2nd bushiest 'tash on TV after Magnum PI had one in Dallas

EDIT: At least I thought he did. Turns out it was a Zimmer (based on a Fox body Mustang) but standing toe to toe with the Excalibur on taste and subtlety...

Absolutely, I blame my memory!

It is in excellent condition and may belong to the hotel. I tried to ask but unbelievably no one spoke English! We really have lost our standing in the world wink

Doh, I should!

Excerpt from Wiki:

Stevens subsequently obtained engines from General Motors through his friends GM executives Ed Cole and Semon "Bunkie" Knudsen. These were Chevrolet 327s in 300-brake-horsepower (300 PS; 220 kW) Corvette tune, making the 2,100-pound (950 kg) Excalibur a strong performer. With the standard 3.31:1 rear axle, acceleration from 0–60 mph (0–97 km/h) took less than six seconds.[3] Projected top speed was 134 mph (216 km/h).[4]

0-60 in less than 6 seconds!!!

Another monstrosity from the centre of Prague, although hasn’t got as much class as the previous example by far!
