I’ve been after a 114300 for a long time and this one has come up. Seems legit enough and it comes with the eBay authenticity guarantee.
I’m just scared I could be buying a fake. Am I worrying over nothing?

The authentication service is pretty good so you can be reasonably sure it’s not a fake.

The description of the condition can be subjective - one man’s excellent can be another’s fair. There look to be some significant scratches and dinks there that I wouldn’t be comfortable describing as excellent. A Service might bring it back to new so factor that in to the price

Also the description says husband bought in 2019 but it’s clearly been sold since as there’s authentication paperwork from 2023

Would you be worried if it were my £6000 ?

Don't know about authenticiity but the disingenous wording of the watch being bought new when it was clearly bought from ebay would be a deal breaker for me. Of course it was bought new. Just not by them. "I've never polished the watch" doesn't mean that it hasn't been polished.Too clever by half.

I know it’s not the question being asked but the dents on the lug at 5 o’clock would put me off this particular watch.

The lug roughly at the "10" position has a lot of wear, certainly not "excellent condition".

Poor quality photos

Not a particularly rare watch and not a huge saving - can't see much upside

The watch should not be described as excellent with those marks. Perhaps the OP could make a lower offer if he really, REALLY wanted the watch. Personally like the poster above I'd give it a miss.

Evening BR,

Bear in mind that a US watch will be subject to import costs upon entry and delivery into the UK. This is usually VAT plus an admin fee from whoever is delivering and collecting VAT on behaf of HMRC.

A quick look on ebay.UK sees a 2019 114300 black under £6k, you can buy this with ebay authentication. A lot easier than a US watch, unless you're in the US... wink

It's a UK seller. No idea why the previous URL is shown as ebay.us..

Thought so.

Found this one on Chrono24 but it’s in NL. Not sure what the import fees would be. There’s no white ones currently on sale in the UK…

There would be 20% VAT to be paid.

Are you set on wanting a white face? I just had a quick look on watchfinder and there are a number of them on there around the same price but mainly grey faces and the odd blue face

Take the Eurostar and make a day trip. Just wear it back and in the rush to get off the train, forget to declare it.....

Was literally just thinking about doing this. The jewellers have said they can post the box to me, I just take the card and wear the watch…

Yeah I really want a white one now I’ve seen them
