Did anyone go to the Bike Shed show over the weekend?
What did you think?

Yes me and the wife went on the Sunday, always enjoy it. I normally go on either the Friday evening or Saturday, Sunday seems quite chilled. Was it a bit smaller this year, less bikes? might be me getting older! We went to Chelsea Garden Show on the Saturday which was so packed that you couldn't see anything without elbowing your way to the front, the Bike Shed Show is far more chilled.
Oh and had a nice late dinner at the Prospect of Whitby down on the river.

Yep, went with a mate on Sunday, we go most years but missed last year, we both commented that there appeared to be fewer bikes, and some that weren’t really that special, my favourite was more classic than custom

I lusted after the Montjuic. The iconic test in Bike magazine.

There was definitely less bikes than last year, last year had as many downstairs as upstairs, very few downstairs this year.

Still great show though.

I was slightly miffed at how many Moto Guzzi V50 based builds were there, I built one 13 years ago and had to pretty much give it away...

You can see the shift in donor bikes each year, it used to be aircooled beemers, but they’ve got to be too expensive / all used up, small capacity Guzzi's seem popular at the moment, there were a few that just looked like bikes we had in the late 70s/early 80s, fairly stock 4 cylinder 650/750s with ace bars and Yoshi style exhausts.

Yep, me and my brother were trying to no to work out what’s next, and we were torn between retro tours, base on the success of Long Way Home and Ewan McGreggor’s Eldorado, very cool bike, or are late 80’s / early 90’s street fighters going to make a come back?
