Concorde. G-BOAB
Discussion
There is a family day over at the BA engineering base at LHR this weekend and AB was brought over a few days ago to be the star attraction.
Got some pics last night that might be of interest?
She has definitely seen better days but bearing in mind she has been sat outside for 25 years it's no great surprise but still spectacular.

Back in the '90's there were staff deals to fly to New York on Concorde and return on the QE2 for £499!!!
I never had any money back then and never took that offer.
Always regretted it!!
Yeah, me too. I was at VS at the time and whenever the deal came up, I always found an excuse to put it off until next time.........Doh!!!!I never had any money back then and never took that offer.
Always regretted it!!
Used to do training on Hounslow Heath and it was pretty noisy outdoor activity
But it had to stop when Concorde took off and climbed out over the site
Wonderful to see and hear and always regret not flying in it
Could never have afforded to back then
Didn't they do some short trips on it for the experience ?

I worked at Colnbrook late 70's. Concord in the morning most days went over our building. Your mug, kit you were working on & tools ended up on the floor. You soon learnt!
Had a corporate dinner a while ago at Duxford, 3 course dinner under Concord's wing. We were shown the nose droop afterwards. Great evening.

They used to do a little hop around the Bay of Biscay. Up, a glass of champagne, and a small lunch, supersonic briefly, and back again, that sort of thing. I had the brochure for it in the late 90s, but never got around to it, which really annoys me now. But it had to stop when Concorde took off and climbed out over the site
