Just found this in the kitchen - first thought was a seagul, google lens suggests an extinct dinosaur?!

He was very proud of himself, however it was cold and solid so hoping he found it rather than caught it

Looks more like a young pigeon.

A seagull has webbed feet from birth.

For some reason I didn’t think pigeon, it just looked too big! Looks like you are both right.

Glad it wasn’t anything special - we have had most of the fish out of the pond, bats, small chicks and the remains of a squirrel recently.

It does have a hint of archaeopteryx about it - maybe your cat killed the last survivor....

If it's any consolation, the lack of visible injuries or bitemarks suggest this chick met it's feathered maker by means other than Mittens.
