Non hot starter

I know there has been a few topics about this problem, but I havn't taken much notice before but now I have it,
Symptems are; After a run I switch the engine off and if I try to re-start straight away. Ignition is on,
I hear the fuel pump start, but the engine does not crank over. Seems as though there's a relay or something thats not operating,
I have to wait a couple of mins and then its oK.
This happened a couple of times last night on the tunnel run, every time we pulled I was nervous about switching off.
Anyone know the cause of this problem.

Usually the problem is exactly that. There is no relay in the starter circuit. TVR in their wisdom decided to remove it. There is a guide on BB's site on how to add one

I also ran an extra ground cable from the block direct to the battery which helps as well.
