Hi All,

I'm of to the south of france next week, and want to rent a car for a day to drive the Col de Turini|http://perso.wanadoo.fr/col-de-turini/en/turini/map.htm.

To hire a car on the spot in france, can you turn up with your UK licence as you do here? Or do you have to book it in advance?(which I have always done before)

Thanks

John

You should be able to turn up on spec - though you may require both bits of your licence (the laminated bit and the paper bit - assuming you have a new licence of course.)

You will also need a Credit Card, which they will 'open' just incase you trash it or don't return it. If you don't have one you may be asked to leave cash.
