I'm off to southern Germany for a week on Friday (Yes D day smile

I intend to use the toll roads in France as they tend to be faster, and to drive to the limits.

The car has just had a service and all is well.

It is a big car for a 1.6 diesel, but find it loves motorways, and have managed 71. mpg at times when restricted to lower speeds here. (M27 is a bh as much of it is 50 at the moment)

I am hoping to do the 850 or so miles on one tank, and not hang around as we want to do it in one hit.

Can anyone else claim super miles from a tank of fuel at speed limits?

Wife claims I am super sad noting these things, but it passes the time, and this is a car built for straight lines and comfort

Further to my post above, if anyone going abroad when planning the route check you don't have to get an Emissions sticker for your motor, we have had to pay about 4 euros to be able to drive around Strasberg.

The sticker has not arrived, but they give you a receipt to show local Police if caught not displaying one to avoid a 135 euro fine.

A load of pants really, it must cost a shed load more than that to process the application, and send you it.... to achieve ....nothing
