I would like to install MS Office (for Word and excel) on a personally owned Mac.

A quick google this morning for “excel for Mac” showed a groupon site where I can buy a lifetime access for Office 2024 for something like £13.

I can’t believe the price is so low so assume there is a catch or I’ve misread what I would actually get.
Can anyone share any experience of this or other routes to get a licence (and media ) to install it.

Thanks

No, perfectly legit and no catch.

Lots of license selling is out there - thats super cheap and a good bargain tbh!

I’ve read all the low scoring reviews on that groupon deal and it looks very dodgy.
Think I’ll give that a miss but if anyone has any other recommendations on where to get a genuine copy please share

I installed LibreOffice on my Mac. It can load, edit and save M$ Office files.

Does your company use MS365? if so you can normally download the whole office suite to a personal device.

Ecokeys is another option but it will cost you £80 for a copy of Office 2021. Or you could buy a proper PC & get the Windows version for £30.

Thanks all. Will check out the use of office365 and then failing that the alternate sources recommended.

My wife installed a Groupon purchased office package earlier this week. All legit and works great. Circa £15

Will find out which one later on

EDIT: This is the one she had: https://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/softwaremall-1-1?d...

Office 2024 from Ecokeys is only £19.99

I ve used them a couple of times without any issues.

Edit - just noticed that the OP has a Mac, so not applicable for them.
