Had a 2020 M235i gran coupe for a few years, great car but the throttle reponse is sluggish compared to most other cars i've had.

I just want a bit more response when pulling off, even when it sport mode. It's got the 2.0 B48 engine with the 8 speed aisin auto box, xdrive + 306bhp so got all the ingredients.

Been thinking of trying a sprint/throttle booster whatever they're called, are they worth it?

Lot's i've seen let you return if you're not happy, but when i read T+C's they are often located overseas!

No you don't...

A 2.0 making 300+hp is heavily dependent on boost, which you don't have from rest. Only the very latest engines with electrically spun up turbos have the oomph you desire. A 3.0 gets going more quickly.

IIRC you've got the ZF8 box in your 235i

I proper remap and a ZHP box tune would be a much better option than any plug in device

Personally I'd be going down that route

Well my golf R I had was much more responsive with similar setup, so was my gla45.
My gf has an i30n, manual but doesn't have the lag.

Nope, aisin 8speed In the m235i, you're thinking of the older version

Yep, not the most interesting but does the job as a daily. And is quick, just want a bit more response from the throttle

A remap would give better results than a throttle pedal hack box. If the boost is physically available at the rpms you want more of it at, then thats what the remap will liberate. The pedal boxes just command more throttle plate opening from less pedal movement, they can't control the turbo wastegate or any of the other boost management systems.

Is it a valvetronic engine? If so, that can be manipulated to help spool up at low rpms, but ultimately, if the turbo BMW chose is a biggun, not much will be happening until it gets enough exhaust flow.....which won't be at 1500rpm on a 4 cylinder engine unfortunately.
