BYD Dolphin - first ev, pros and cons
Discussion
Had it a week, its the mrs's car but I'm on insurance and drive it a bit
Got to say I really like it
Pros - lovely to drive, nice and easy, plugged in to granny charger yesterday afternoon at 60% charge and had 95% this morning on cheap rate(think it cost about £3 to charge up). Cameras everywhere for reversing. Looks smart, plenty of boot space. Wish we'd done it sooner
Cons - really annoying jingles when setting off, doing anything. The indicator sounds are starting to drive me up the wall and looking into changing them.

Sounds good, but how are you going to change the indicator sound? Are there options in the software?
I think you might be able to you know. That and the pedestrian warning noise. Glad you’re enjoying the new car. Keep us posted with how you are getting on with it.
“In the Dolphin Infotainment Vehicle Settings Notification (or Beep & Alert) section, you can toggle AVAS (Acoustic Vehicle Alerting System) profiles:
Brand: the default melodic jingles
Standard: traditional tick-tick indicator-style sound
Most users find switching to Standard makes alerts much less intrusive “

Will give that a try tomorrow
Overall really enjoying the car
