Now back form a few days in Wales (wife had to pack light, which was a new experience for her after the 911 smile), car was great (bit frustrating with running in but still fun). I have noticed that BMW's and black ones in particular drive aggressively and inches from the rear of the car and seem to want to race when an overtake opportunity arises. I have bought a satnav for the Alpine after seeing some absolute stupidity on the M4\5 on our return journey.

Yes I've noticed a fair bit of tailgating since I picked mine up. I even had one guy who slowed down in front of me, pulled into a layby and then pulled straight out behind me and was right up my jacksy for a mile or so, I'm guessing he was trying to figure out what car it was :-).

Running in is a bit frustrating isn't it! Cant wait to hear the hard edged induction sound I experienced at higher revs on the test drives! I've only managed a couple of hundred miles in the two weeks I've had mine so still a fair way to go. Does feel pretty spritely though up to 3500 rpm and feels great to drive over all. I've accidently gone a bit above the recommended revs a couple of times but only on part throttle and for a few seconds, I'm not going to be too precious about it, just gentle from a cold start, no full throttle and no red lining it until 1000 miles or so.

L1OFF, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the ride after 911.

When there's someone tailgating I'm really hoping there will be no obstacle which would require me to brake hard. First I don't trust their reflexes, second I don't trust their brakes can match Alpine's deceleration performance (light weight + Brembos).
