F1 2026 Calendar confirmed:

Why a 3 week gap between Miami and Canada? Surely people are going to fly back home anyway thus no point in having them together?

Canada looks like a deliberate clash with the Indy 500..........another example of F1 riding roughshod over other series. See taking the Spa 24 date from SRO.......and having a race on the same weekend as Le Mans.........

Two races in Spain!

Do Alonso and Sainz Jr bring that much following to F1 in order to have 2 GPs in Spain?

Surely with 4 British drivers on the grid, the UK should have more than 1 race?

I think it's just part of the transition from traditional circuits to temporary/street circuits. Next year is the final year of Barcelona's F1 contract, and it seems unlikely that it will get an extension beyond that. Also, the Madrid race is currently only provisional for '26 as they haven't built the track yet.

Barcelona gets a lot of criticism from F1 fans, but I can't get excited about a race around an industrial estate next to Madrid airport either.

Suits me. There's only one GP during our usual holiday weeks rather than the three this year!

Perhaps, but the UK has only one FIA Grade 1 circuit, and no-one willing to invest the money to create or upgrade another.

We don't need a permanent track, though.

A London Grand Prix would be amazing as a street track!

If Jeddah, Miami, Monaco, Madrid, Baku, Singapore, and Las Vegas can do it, then surely we could have a great street track in the middle of London.

Just imagine the backdrop of London monuments as F1 cars fly by at 200mph!

It would bring in so much money and benefit to the City of London as well.

It's never going to happen like that, though. If you look at the location of the Miami and Madrid street races, they'll probably hold it around Slough Trading Estate and call it the London GP.

Seems like the Belgian Grand Prix will be on the same day as the World Cup Final.

Which, like with Monaco and Indy, simply makes for a great excuse to be in the pub all day day of sport.

The problem with Canada and Indy, is that they re going to be on at the same time rather than just on the same day.

There has often been a Grand Prix on the same day as Le Mans finishes ... it just used to be in the evening Europe time (Canada or US) so it wasn't a clash.

Clashing the Canada race with Indy seems madness in terms of getting US viewers for a GP.

Indeed, tomorrow there’s four hours between the end of Le Mans and the start of the GP. Many of us will watch the last few hours of ‘le 24h’, the podium, a bit of analysis, maybe break for dinner, then onto the F1 buildup - perfect timing. Monaco and Indy is the same, enough time between them.

Scheduling a direct clash is really silly on the part of F1, why would you put a race up against the biggest annual motorsport event in North America when trying hard to attract that audience? I might watch the 500 live and the F1 on repeat later, just to prove a point and show F1 that they make a silly decision. If they get a really low live audience they might realise their mistake.

London already had a Grand Prix circuit..

If the Dutch can bring back an old circuit with banked corners then so can we. Mercedes will be happy, close to Mclaren and most of the UK teams, and within London..

Nah I;m only joking. Lets do 3 laps of the M25 instead. Clockwise, natch
