Anglesey Holiday
Discussion
Hi
I’m away on a short break next week with my Mrs and 2 year old and the weathers not looking great,
Does anyone have any suggestions what I could do on wet days ?
I’ve looked at the Sea zoo so thats on the list but I can’t see any water parks ? There’s a leisure centre but it looks like it’s just an Olympic pool ?
Not sure if theres any caravan parks that allow the public in to use the swimming pool ?
Cheers

If having decent weather is important, then why didn’t you book a foreign holiday.
I can never understand it when people book a holiday in the British Isles, Ireland or Northern Continental Europe and then are concerned by the weather. At this time of year with a two year old, I’d recommend a decent mobile home park (Chateau based) on the mid west coast of France.
Nice pools, decent weather, plenty to see and lots of other toddlers for your 2 year old to play with.

I’m not concerned about the weather I’m simply looking for ideas if it’s raining, I’m sure we will have a good time what ever the weather.I can never understand it when people book a holiday in the British Isles, Ireland or Northern Continental Europe and then are concerned by the weather. I don’t want to take my 2 year old on a plane yet and it’s only a 3 day trip so driving down south and a ferry is out of the question but thanks for the reply.

Anglesey doesn't have much to do if the weather isn't playing ball, same as anywhere really, including europe.
We went here https://www.foelfarm.co.uk/ about a decade ago but some of it is weather dependent.

Try Greenwood Park just a few mile over the bridge in Felinheli. https://www.greenwoodfamilypark.co.uk/
I spent all my summer holidays on Anglesey, from age of 4/5 to 13. If the weather wasn't up to sailing or beach, we went to Beaumaris Castle, or walked the dogs up Holyhead 'mountain' (it's about 500ft as I recall) in the rain.
It does have some lovely beaches though;)
ETA, it also has an island microclimate, so weather is often better than forecast. And varies quite a lot, so if it is raining in Trearddur Bay it might not be in Moelfre.
