Hi all

Any advice appreciated - the wheels on my Merc EQC are suffering from some sort of corrosion.

Do you think I'd be best off sorting these privately before the end of my lease? I worry as this is more than just a scratch, that the lease company (Zenith) may charge a lot here.

Thanks in advance

They look diamond cut, I'd leave the lease company to sort them out, you'll probably find they charge you less than sorting them yourselves...

If it's not from you scratching them then it's a warranty issue. They'll charge you like £100 a wheel.

I had similar on my car (Hyundai) and when I looked into it, although it was a warranty issue, you'd get charged if it wasn't in good order, so it's maybe with getting it dealt with under warranty by Mercedes before it goes back

The key to this is...

Did you kerb them?

If not...Back to Mercedes for warranty repair.

We found little "worm traces" under the lacquer of one of the wheels on our GLC while it was still in warranty. Took it to Merc who looked closely at the others too and changed all four under warranty!
