Guys, the wife and I have a short break in Mallorca next week and will be staying in Campos in a boutique hotel. We’ll have a hire car. What should we see/ do each day? We’re interested in (non-chavvy) beaches, plus anything else of interest that’s not too far to drive to. smile

ill admit its been at least ten years since I was there but like this place Cala Sa Nau. It has a beach snack Bar and Loos, the water is calmer because it's a deep cove. though be aware it does get deep further out. You can also take a stroll round the headland (looking out to sea walk up the right side)

like most of these places could get busy but we were lucky when we went and it wasn't too bad. sat on towels with umbrella a few feet from the sea.

marina Cala Dòr , for lunch ?

or Portopetro

again, dont hold me to these, its been a while. maybe check them out first!

Palma is good for a day wandering around. And if you have a hire car, a drive to the mountains in the north isn t far, and very scenic. Pick a spot on the north coast for lunch and off you go - likely quieter up there than the south too.

Train from Palma to Soller, then tram to Port de Soller. A great way to see a bit of countryside and the tram is fun.

Loads, can visit some of the sanctuaries such as Sant Salvador or Santa Magdalena, if you're into walking (hiking) head up to Alcudia and out on to the headland at Talaia d'Alcudia, really beautiful and peaceful. As others have said Port De Soller is great for lunch and a wander, then head up Puig Major after, or take the drive along to Andratx and the coast road, possibly heading down to one of the smaller ports at Valdemossa or Canonge which are much smaller and should be quieter. Could risk Formentor or Sa Calobra first thing or end of the day for sunset, but this time of year would probably be a nightmare.
