I noticed something very appealing on your profile...
A very nice/different windscreen to engine, moulding with a lip...
You can actually see the petrol inlet etc and it seems to be nicely seeled to the bottom of the windscreen...
Is this your own work or has someone done you a very nice mod???

Steve, it's true that you can use water models for benchmarking fluid flow codes for high velocity / high temperature metals in casting processes. This helps produce top quality parts with minimal internal shrinkage / air entrapment which often leads to premature failure. BNFL carried out some fascinating water model experiments a few years back which were great for benchmarking early development fluid flow codes. If you wish to discuss fluid flow anytime please do not hesitate to contact me.

I've mailed Gareth to say they aren't a direct replacement, as the airflow gains through pulse tuning means that although the cerbera runs rich across a lot of it's rev range, you can't guarantee that the mixture will still be safe .. therefore they can't be marketted as a direct replacement.
No fancy backplates either, rolling road testing shows that they aren't needed. in fact I now believe that the smaller trumpets we were running on Cliff's car were compromising the very top end power .. we will see if that's the case when cliff's car goes back on the rollers.

), anyone read the Ed Speak in Evo this month? Uncle Harry saying that they (Evo) are now going to try and RR as many of the cars they get hold of as they can due to manufacturer's wild BHP claims? (No mention of Pistonheads though) And he wasnt even pointing the finger at TVR, though strangely enough the 1st car they have tested was the new Tuscan 2 Conv, but I havent got to that article ..yet. They did mention some fancy dyno RR somewhere (will look it up), maybe worth a visit there at some point? Just for investigative journalism? (cue Ted)Yep modded backplates most certainly not needed. The only reason I can see why the backplates have been modded is to accomodate pipes which maintain a 50mm profile all the way (ease of manufacture of the pipe).
These pipes maintain the same dimensions as the TVR pipes - 70mm at the airbox trumpet reducing to 50mm at the engine inlet - albeit these pipes are a lot shorter. This will create a better flow rate than both the TVR pipes and the 50mm profile pipes.....well so the "fluid flow dynamics" man told me

Getting back to the original topic...
Mine is a 1998 4.5 and my moulding has two big slashes just below the windscreen...
This is either to let all the rain in so that the manifolds crack eventually, or to let the silly washer hoses have access to the winscreen wipers...
Has anyone got decent windscreen washer attachments??
