I've had my 2019 Mustang GT since November and whilst it is a great car, it's not really clicking with me. I love how it looks and sounds but it's not particularly comfortable to be in (no matter what I adjust, I still can't really find a driving position that suits) & being a manual with a heavy clutch is a bit of a pain in stop-start traffic on the commute (even with the softer clutch assist spring).

I am a bit of a tart so any replacement would have to have things like apple carplay, heated seats, reversing camera etc as well as actually looking/sounding interesting - so ideally nothing with a 2 litre 4 cylinder turbo.

I have no need for 4 doors, but would like something with rear seats for the very occasional time I need to take more than 1 passenger/the dog.

I've had a few hot hatches (Focus ST, 3x civic type R's) in the past, and whilst they're great fun, I feel like I've had enough of them for the moment and would like to go with something a bit less sensible whilst fuel is still vaguely affordable.

So far the thing at the top of my list is a w205 C63s coupe (ideally post 2019 as I prefer the facelifted dash), but finding a decent one might take a while

Other stuff I've thought of, but discounted for one reason or another are:
Alfa guilia quadrifolglio
Jaguar F type (either v6 or v8)
BMW M2/M4
Any Audi RS

I'm wondering if there's anything else obvious that I've missed that would be a fun daily driver?

My stock answer for this category of car is Lexus RC F, mainly because not many people think of it so I'm putting it out there as a reminder.

I needed something with 4 seats and, after test driving a Mustang, was pleased I went with an M2 instead. I think the M2 is a better car in every aspect other than looks and noise.

Quite fancy the Alfa next.

I second this.

Also had the F-Type and Giulia in the mix and every hot hatch going and the M2 was comfortably my choice when I purchased mine.

You are giving up looks but an M2 is a smashing drivers car. Always describe them as Fiesta STs for adults.

Giulia is really good and is faster than a M2 but it’s more mature and wasn’t as fun to or energetic. In hindsight if I’d purchased the Alfa with rear doors I’d have kept it longer than the M2 due to kids.
