Any cardiologists here?

A good friends father has some pretty serious problems and isn't listening to sound advice
Ejection Fraction @25%
Has AF too
Age 76
BMI 38
Very heavy drinker and still is but claims to have cut down to (70 units/week), from 150.
On anticoagulants
BP meds
Beta blockers and something to prevent stroke(unknown)
Won't allow anyone to attend doctors visits, just tells them whatever version of the truth he chooses.
Cant climb stairs without very heavy breathing.
I have tried talking to them about alcohol, he claims his AF has nothing to do with drinking which I don't believe and from what I understand, ongoing drinking will only guarantee further heart damage and almost certain death in the next 6-12 months.

He's 76. It's too late and he may as well enjoy the time he has left.Ejection Fraction @25%

I'd drop him round a nice bottle of red, personally.
- I'm not a real cardiologist by the way.
