This annoyed the hell out of me , more than once on every episode and a man in his 60s taking selfies .

You are not a 15yo girl Clive .

Last night's episode got binned due to tennis ,it was the best one ,when he gets a ride in an old race car in the 100 Miglia , a little road event in the Prosecco area .

Not the 1000 Miglia .

He has no soul. It's not genuine. It's almost like he is just reading a script off a screen.
Neither wife or I have enjoyed. It's our typical go to type of telly.
He has no love for where he is, who he is meeting, eating etc.

Perhaps he is just a reflection of his job. Can read out death, wars etc with little message in his voice.

It’s a real shame as the content would make for a really interesting amble around Italy. However, Clive’s presentation style is just cringeworthy at times and he seems to struggle to know how to interact with the people he meets. frown

I'm convinced he wears the same outfit in every episode

I have a theory that when you see [Person's Name] Programme Name, then that person has come up with the idea and pushed their management to work out a broadcast format, pitch it etc. That way, no matter how rubbish it is, they can't be fired, and can take it to another channel. Or, alternatively, they have contractually insisted on having a share of the programme rights. The mainstream channels seem to commission so few series of their own now, that they jump at the chance of a show which is already ready to go, and will happily accept a lower standard than they used to.

Watched the ro.e episode on iplayer hoping for a few hints on what to see, hidden gems etc

Waste of time and annoying to watch. So wooden and unlikeable
