Got A Volvo V90 Inscription Pro with bells and whistles on the bells and Whistles!!
Goiung through the ownder manual ..all 674 pages of iy anf finding new bits to play with.
The Dealer advised Three months Warranty ,and i also took out a 3yr extended warranty with RAC, and the phone calls with them have been good with plenty of advice ,suggestions etc

Now the question

So far i have found 2 errors Possibly 3!!
I with a cancelletaion button not working leaving me with an pax air bag message covering half of the info beteen the two dials in front of the driver
And while the manual shows a dipping mirror and how to adjust the 'dip' nothing pops up on the dsah screen
As l i 'think' it may has a compass. Not really neccesary, but it it should be there, then it needs to be
Am popping into a main dealer to buy some bits on Monday and will act the numpty to see if they can confirm/deny that the auto dip and compass should be there and is so that they are u/s at present. If they are u/s could i pass these back to the daler under his three month warranty, or will he do an Athur Daly on me...lol..However the start date on the RAC warranty is date of purchase.does this render his three month warrant void? Need to get ducks in order. Neither The desler not RAC know that a claim might be pending
Thoughts?

Oh apart from theses niggles, the car is a dream to drive, and should last me out. Makes me less sad about selling the Royce

Regardless of any warranty, it's up to the dealer to fix any faults in the first 6 months, so just take it back to him if there are any problems.

The warranty won’t cover any cabin switchgear, software, electrics, etc

The RAC warranty you've purchased is useless (sorry to say). Good luck trying to claim if anything goes wrong. If you can cancel this and get your money back, I would.

Pursue the dealer.

I assume you've been through the settings and activated the compass and mirrors? I generally turn things like compass of to tidy the display up a bit.

Why is it useless?

If it's been missold then they will be a major payout at some point

It wont have been miss sold, the dealer will just not have told you it wont cover anything that could wear out, you know, like an engine or something. smile

Are you sure that the car has these options, the manuals usually cover all of the features that are available across different regions.
Best to check before looking a numpty in front of the salesman!
