Best place to advertise when selling?
Discussion
Having had a change in lifestyle since buying my Burstner in 2021, I now want to sell it, having completed under 3,000 miles from new, but I need advice in where to advertise. I have tried Autotrader and FB Marketplace with no success, the price is very competitive and the whole vehicle is shiny and as new.
I have had several offers of commission sales, but they all want to tie me up for at least 6 weeks, so cannot advertise anywhere else, (nor sell without paying commission). Can someone give me some ideas of where to advertise please?

I would agree on being realistic with price. There are some silly optimistic prices (as ever) in the first half of the year, and they drop at the end of the summer..
Also get someone to check the description carefully - perhaps someone who does not understand such things. The thought being here that many buyers are not well informed. I got my van 'cheap' as it was not listed as 'VW T5.1 LWB high top camper' but as a 'Bilbos Komba' - the article had no reference to VW or camper at all, so keywords or searches on Gumtree did not pick it up....unless you knew what a Bilbos was.

I have sold a number of leisure vehicles and the most tried and tested route is eBay. Only once have I had a sale through Autotrader Motorhomes (I tend to run both in parallel).
Make sure you have an accurate and informative listing (avoid the temptation to put a couple of sentence down and expect folks to deduce the rest).
And price is key. The market isn't as hot as it was a year or two ago, you have to soften your expectations somewhat.
Personally I would avoid Motorhome Depot at any cost. I had some ridiculous conversations and derisory PX offers from them when selling my last van (I was given a figure of £30k less than I sold for!!).

I sold my last van, a 2022 Carthago 138, with a company called Select Motorhomes on a sale or return basis.

We agreed a suitable return to me amount and they advertised it for at a price to cover their margin.
They picked it up, displayed it in their premises, did all the prep and marketing.
Found a suitable buyer and then paid me. Note this was a six figure sum.
Very smooth process, well worth giving them a call. Ask for Simon Jones.
