Check parking brake warning on dashboard in yellow appears after a few yards . Sometimes becomes a red warning,STOP. Brakes feel normal. Handbrake operates although flash's red. Seems to clear if I leave the car overnight, then reappears . Any knowledge out there of this fault?

Do you have a way to read fault codes?

No, but going into Martin's on Monday. Seemed to cure it by charging the battery on a charger. But fault appeared after a 200 mile drive so should have had a charged battery unless the alternator is failing....

So Martin's ( good efficient service as usual)diagnosis is a faulty brake caliper, safe to drive as a sensor fault. Unfortunately no calipers are available so escalated by them and me to Alpine.

I think this issue will appear from time to time. Mine comes on and then disappears after being parked up overnight. Are Alpine replacing the entire caliper just because of a sensor error?

Car in Martin's today, caliper replaced but having explained that putting the car on charge seemed to remove the brake warning but not after a long drive, the alternator is being replaced as a recall. Excellent service from them as I was going to wait but the alternator is a long job so lent a new 110s. Bucket seats are really comfortable, suspension is harder but feels very stable and sharper steering. Too expensive upgrade though!
