But why?

The yard in which it sits has a lot of other crap laying about. In the garden there are gnomes.

I remember my neighbour going to the Sun Centre on holiday early 80s, we were off to the South of France, and I was beside myself with envy.

No wonder it has fallen down. Those cables don’t look anything like strong enough.

i don't think it's possible to hear the word monorail without that popping into your head.

The kids and I cycled passed this a few weeks ago and we were wondering what it was. Trust Pistonheads to come up with the answer....

You cycled through Beeston Marina and weren't captured by boat-dwelling, banjo-playing inbreds?

It's one of the weirdest places I have been in recent memory.

The fact that there is a Rhyl monorail cabin there makes absolute sense.

For travelling between the new speedway stadium and snowdome, apparently.

As long as it runs alongside the picturesque new canal to the Cultural quarter all will be good

Beeston Marina: it's about a 5 minute walk from my house.

There are some eccentric characters around that place... good luck to them I say. I find it refreshing that there are still people around who don't follow the herd.

I've got an old mate who lives down there... ex Para and now semi retired roofer. Top bloke.
