Now...I know someone had to make this and it is a business, so, yes, they need to make a profit...

But if you spent close to £100 on this buffet, which you collected from the local sandwich shop/cafe (Midlands, not the South), would you feel a little dissappointed?

Buffet for 10x people, so each person got

4 sandwich triangles (not particularly nice)
1/4 of a Scotch Egg
Half a sausage roll
2 cold mini Samosa
Packet of crisps.

Was I expecting too much and am I just a whinging moaner?

I would be more than a little disappointed with that buffet.

No kidding, I’d put 50% of that away myself (yes, fat b’stard).

That’s garbage, but not worth pursuing, vote with your feet/mouth.

A rough estimate of 1 whole round of sandwich, half a sausage roll, a couple samosas and a quarter scotch egg per person.

A tenner each charged, I reckon cost to supply £20 max.

No salad, fruit, drinks or even a tunocks?

Total ripoff.

Like I know in this day and age...you aren't going to get a Roman banquet for £100.

Reality is, that having worked it out, it is probably £15-20 (cost price) worth max.

Having to explain to people they are allowed 1/4 of a Scotch egg was slightly embarrassing...you can buy 2 whole of the bloody things for £1 at Aldi.

M&S and Morrisons are great for buffets.
I reckon that would have been 40 quid at Mozzers

How much do you think it would have been at Mazzers and Spazzers?

Last year I went to Morrisons and spent £100...

People were feasting for days on continental cheeses, rotisserie chicken, giant pork pies, samosa/ bhajis, Salads etc

The whole point of this was that I am busy, this is on the way to work (helpful) and I assumed a "Local business" would you know...support a local business. Obviously not.

As a comparison, we use Costco when we need sandwiches etc - but unless you're next door to them it's probably a lot more time / hassle to collect.

£100 at M&S would have very much been a treat in terms of quality and flavours for 10x people.

But...Morrisons is good for this Buffet type food.

I guess you slipped up by not asking what you were going to get?

Yes Costco is great for buffets have used them many times this year. Really nice sandwich selection and wraps. Can pre order for pickup along with pies and sausage rolls plus you get chance to pick up nice pasta salads etc and cakes. £100 there did enough twice over for a dozen hungry people!

It was kind of loosely written on the card... "sandwiches, sausage rolls, Scotch eggs, samosa, selection of Crisps".

When you go in to the shop, they have these giant samosa and sausage rolls on display and I assumed....

I guess putting trust and assuming no one is gonna pull your pants down is not a wise thing to do.

Yes, there’s a bigger range than in that link. You do have to order 3 days prior. I guess the platter sizes are mainly too big for 10 people though - a few of them would be too much.

This link has some of the range: https://services.costco.co.uk/deli/

Thanks for sharing, part of the reason for the post was to see what else was on offer and yes, Costco Delivers.

Could have eaten like kings with desert on the top for £100.

Greggs would be 6-8 quid per person.
