I have a 2012 (Mk2) Skoda Superb Combi (Estate) with the panoramic sunroof.

The “roller blind” sun screen has got jammed or tangled at the back where it’s meant to roll up. It can no longer close (the motor stops and retreats a few inches), and if you try to retract it there is a clicking noise as if there’s a broken spring and the fabric fails to roll up.

I’m guessing this is likely to be a common problem on all VAG panoramic roofs. Does anyone know if this is fixable, or will it require replacement? Will parts even be obtainable?

For the avoidance of doubt, I’m talking about the rolling sun screen that’s part of the sun roof, not the roller blind that covers the luggage area.

Thanks!

The full length sunroof blind on our 2009 Q5 went saggy and then did the same as yours. I just cut the material and we no longer have the blind, not missed it, looked quite complex to fix and no indi garage wanted to fix it for me.
