Can anyone recommend a nice but not stupid expensive hotel in Andorra with good safe parking?

Also the best driving roads from Andorra into Spain.

We will be taking our 718 GTS on a 3 week road trip from the U.K. to northern Spain mid August.

Any other tips, advice routes would be appreciated as it’s our 1st Euro road trip.

Andorra,in my opinion,is a let down.

I would enter Spain through Bossost/Vielha.

It also depends which route through France you are taking.

Not planed a route through France yet but was hoping to travel down in land and then maybe come back up the west coast trying to avoid motorways as much as possible.

Once in Spain we are planning to drive down across northern Spain and down the west coast for a couple of 100 miles then back to the U.K..

We have 3 weeks for the trip.

So far I have booked a night in Canterbury and then a morning shuttle into France ready to start.

I´d recommend the Somport route and use Chateau dÁrance.

Best thing about Andorra is the Riverside Shopping Centre close to the Spanish border.

Fuel is cheaper than either France or Spain, gin can be found for 2.99 euro/ltr.

Will post more detail later but I went via Andorra on the way back from Spain.

Andorra itself was nice enough and worth a visit. But the highlight was definitely the route over the pyranees mountains. Found some stunning spots which I’ll share later.

I actually really enjoy Andorra, although there is a lot more to Andorra than just cheap booze and fags!

The road up into andorra from the french side in Villefranche is nice, not the most engaging road but decent all the same. From La Vella into spain the roads arent that great though.

Hotel wise i love Hotel Pic Maia which is pretty much as high as you can go, no secure parking but it doesnt feel insecure to me and there are plenty of decent motors in Andorra so it shouldnt stick out too much.

We stayed overnight in Andorra en route to the Catalunya MotoGP a few years back. I found it disappointing and probably wouldn't bother going back - there are many better places IMO - Ax-les Thermes or Vielha, or further West in the Pyrenees region Pau or Jaca, depending on whether you want to be on the French or Spanish side.

Andorra is very safe & crime almost non-existent. Lots of nice cars around, not quite Monaco, but still plenty of money. The 911 is the highest selling new car.

I'm only really there for the skiing, so not too sure outside of the ski areas.

Any Spanish holiday makes border crossings a nightmare, so avoid 15th August weekend if possible.

Ok here goes.
From Toulouse head to Foix, from Foix you can take Col de Porte or from Tarascon ,Col d’Agnes.
I would take Col d’Agnes, drop down into Aulus, over Col de la Trappe.Head into Seix and go over Col de Core into Castillon.
Then take Col d’Aspet,Col de Mente and eventually drop into St Beat, turn left and head into Spain via Bossost.

We stayed here in 2021: https://www.actahotels.com/en/hotels/hotel-acta-ar....

The hotel was good and adjoined an underground public car park so had reduced parking rates and a lift direct into the hotel.
