Now, the choice of alloy wheel style is a subjective one, therefore I expect that my preferred choice will not be to everyone's personal taste but I think these look so much better than the old 7 spokes

20 Spoke Silver Diamond Turned

I considered many aftermarket options but I liked the genuine Aston Multispoke alloy (after seeing them on a car I test drove prior to purchasing this one) And the idea of keeping the Vantage 'standard' appealed to me too.

What's your thoughts?

...and for reference, here is the same car with the 7 spoke alloys

Incidentally, my old 7 spokes are for sale if anyone is interested - PM me ...they're in beautiful condition still biggrin

I actually like both. The only thing for sure is your new ones are easier to keep clean. The 09 I used to have had those same original wheels and I liked them, other than when it came time to clean them.

Yes, looking good.

The 7 spoke wheels were original fit on 4.3 Vantages.
20 spoke introduced from September 2008 for the 4.7 Vantage (diamond cut optional), and if the Sportpack option was selected the wheels were 5 spoke (diamond cut optional).

You are lucky that your car has the right type of catalytic converter, which can be adapted for modest cost to release wonderful sound.
Combine the adjustment with a wired 3-way switch.

Have you noticed sluggish performance? The DVLA are showing your car has a 1,282 cc engine. confused

But you can't tell from the outside and it saves a fortune in petrol, insurance and VED.

I like both wheel designs but like the new ones more. And a good body colour.

Yes, that flagged up on the hpi check. I spoke to DVLA and they said it must have been an administrative error, they said I can send the V5 back and they will amend it but I've not got around to it yet.
...sadly it's still in the highest road tax bracket despite it only being a 1.2L rolleyes

I did a similar upgrade on my Vantage recently going from the original 19 inch seven spokes to the optional 19 inch sport pack wheels. Like the OP, I like the originality of sticking to an OEM upgrade.

When I bought my V8V, I was fishing at the entry level of the market. Almost all the cars I saw had the 7-spoke alloys, but the one I bought had the 20-spoke.

As a complete newbie to Aston’s, I didn’t realise at the time that they were off a later car, but they were different enough to attract my attention. At Gaydon last year, there were probably 100-150 Vantages, but only two other cars had these wheels.

Nigel, looks good on these wheels. Just out of interest, where was that photo taken?

It is a subjective topic, personally, I prefer the 7 spoke design. Very clean look and much easier to clean if you do this yourself.
