Yesterday, I decided that I fancied some decent fudge

I had a quick look on the internet and saw a few likely candidates but I thought I would ask the PH knowledge base on what they recommend

I’m just after something plain rather than laced with fruit or flavourings

Interested in everyone’s recommendations

Thanks in advance

Seconded - used to get a square or two as a treat as a kid, forgotten all about it until you posted that link!

Burnt Sugar Company is probably easy to get via Tesco.

My wife is keen on this place. Its pretty good stuff and has both traditional and mad flavours.

Not a massive fan of fudge, although the last time I was in Blackpool, I bought a couple of different bags for SWMBO and, as there was an offer of by 2 get the 3rd free I got a bag of marzipan fudge for me. It was bloody lovely! I’ll try to get some more later this year, although I’m not holding out too much hope. frown

I don’t understand.

You had a junk food craving, and are now on your second day of researching how best to fill it?

I could understand if you have a face full of supermarket bought fudge as you’re typing this.

Make your own piss easy and quick.

Recipe in a chitty chitty bang bang book sleeve from when I was a kid was great. Mostly condensed milk. Yum

This! Mrs E makes some lovely stuff, sometimes mixes in nuts and/or raisins - next level nice.

A cursory Google brings up the recipe I mentioned, seems to be Ian Fleming's, sounds like a simple quick make so will try it or have someone do it for me! Once I'm off diet.
